Jack Ginnivan has been withdrawn from Hawthorn's Round 17 selected team after suffering minor hairline crack in his fibula.
The 21-year-old forward sustained the injury during the Hawks' Round 16 match against West Coast.
Hawthorn Head Doctor Liam West was confident Ginnivan would only be sidelined for the short term.
"Scans have indicated that Jack has suffered a minor hairline crack in his leg following an incident last Sunday," West said.
"Given the fracture is on the minor end of the scale, we are confident Jack will return to play in the coming rounds.
“We will continue to assess his situation and provide further updates in due course."
Seamus Mitchell will replace Ginnivan in Hawthorn’s 23-man lineup set to take on the Cats in Geelong tomorrow.
