Last time we met

Hawthorn (72) defeated by Collingwood (77) in Round 4, 2024.

The Hawks met the Pies earlier this year in the closing game of Gather Round at Adelaide Oval.

Collingwood held on to walk away with a five-point victory, after the Hawks had a huge second-half fightback after being 38 points down at half time.

Hawthorn kicked the final five goals of the game, including the only four goals of the fourth quarter in a dramatic finish.

Blake Hardwick the defender turned forward, kicked four second-half goals to turn the game, including three in a huge third-quarter burst. Dylan Moore also slotted three of his own, while Jack Ginnivan booted two against his old side for the first time.

Jai Newcombe had his best game of the 2024 season so far with a goal of his own, 26 disposals, 18 contested possessions, ten clearances, seven tackles and six inside 50s.

Our last game

Hawthorn (87) defeated Fremantle (74), Round 18, 2024.

Hawthorn managed to knock off Fremantle by 13-points in a thriller on Saturday afternoon at UTAS Stadium.

Calsher Dear set the tone early with a pair of back-to-back goals in the second quarter, one off a snap and the other from set shot. While Luke Breust also slotted two majors in his record-equalling game as the most games played by a player drafted as a rookie.

The Hawks came from behind, trailing by 15 points in the third term when skipper James Sicily was surprisingly shifted forward to kick three crucial goals.

Lloyd Meek had an impressive day, finishing with 51 hit outs and 15 disposals against his former side and was named one of the best on ground.

What’s on?

There’s plenty happening at our Round 19 clash with Collingwood thanks to our match day partner, Nissan!

We have a milestone, with Hawthorn defender Jack Scrimshaw playing his 100th game.

The Hawks are wearing this year's retro guernsey in Friday's Barra's Yama ahead of the retro-themed game on Saturday afternoon, with a DJ on the Ponsford stage and retro themed games on the big screen throughout the game.

Given the colour similarities with the fan voted guernsey and Collingwood, and to ensure there is no clash issues impacting on our players, the club will wear the Menacing Hawk guernsey in a match for premiership points next week against the Crows in Round 20.

We’ll once again be hosting a KFC Bucket Catch at quarter time and iiNet Speed Test at three-quarter time. Whilst post-game we’ll have a Nature Valley Sampling between gates 3 and 4.

Max Lynch will be back on the mic as MC.
