Hawthorn Football Club is mourning the loss of its longest serving member, Marjorie Flegg who recently passed away aged 95.

Marjorie was a loyal member of the brown and gold for a remarkable 91 consecutive years, having first joined the Hawthorn family in 1934.

In a visit to the club last year, Marjorie shared that her love for the Hawks was a result of her wider family also following the club her entire life.

Over her nine decades as a member Majorie said her fondest memories were all the premierships, but noted 2008 as a particular highlight.

The club extends it sincere condolences to Marjorie’s family.
