Hawthorn’s Casey Sherriff has undergone surgery on her leg and ankle injury sustained in the Week 2 game against Collingwood, while young forward Bridie Hipwell has come away from the Crows match up on Sunday with lower leg soreness.

High Performance Manager Aaron Kellett provided an update on the two injuries and how they’ll look to progress the duo.

Casey Sherriff (Ankle) – TBC

“Casey had her surgery last week, went very well. She’s back around the club this morning, she’s back into her rehab group and training so she’ll be working around the constraints of having that plaster on for probably another week. But it’s great to have Casey back in the group and we look forward to stepping her through her return to play progress over the coming weeks.”

Bridie Hipwell (Lower leg) - TBC

“Bridie just came away from the weekend, we’re only 48 hours post-game, but she’s come away with some lower leg soreness. We’re going to have some discussions around how we manage that over the next few days and look to make a decision particularly given the congested nature of the schedule moving ahead but at this stage we’ll assess it and work through our management strategies from there.”
