Hawthorn skipper Emily Bates has been named MVP in the Hawks' Week 5 clash with Geelong, following her strong performance in the 18-point win at GMHBA Stadium.
Bates led from the front in the midfield with a game-high 28 disposals and three clearances.
She was efficient by hand with a game-high 18 handballs, laid eight tackles and managed seven score involvements.
This marks Bates’ second MVP nod of the 2024 season, with the first coming in Week 3 against Collingwood.
Bates and the Hawks return home to Kinetic Stadium in Frankston this Wednesday to take on Gold Coast.
