Hawthorn is delighted to launch the inaugural AFLW Beyond Blue game with the Hawks to host a ‘Mental Health Match’ in Wednesday night’s Week 6 clash with the Gold Coast Suns.
Hawthorn is a long-time proud partner of Beyond Blue, having supported the organisation in the Beyond Blue Cup in the AFL for just shy of two decades, and will now extend that collaboration in the AFLW.
Beyond Blue's Mental Health Match allows clubs, players and coaches to ensure their club has a healthy environment by encouraging conversations around mental health and stigma reduction.
Sport at any level has the power to shape discussions about mental health, help reduce stigma and encourage people to reach out or support.
Local clubs of any sport can register to go beyond the match and host their own Mental Health Match to raise awareness and crucial funds for Beyond Blue’s support services.

Tomorrow’s Mental Health Match marks the Hawks second home game of the season at Kinetic Stadium in Frankston.
