When Hawthorn and Gold Coast meet at Kinetic Stadium tomorrow night it will be the inaugural matchup between the two clubs.

The Hawks host the Suns in their second home game of the 2024 season in the Beyond Blue Mental Health Match.

The game shapes up as an important one for Hawthorn who sit 4-1 so far, while the Suns are yet to register a win this season.

Hawthorn (79) defeated Geelong (61) in Week 5

The Hawks managed an 18-point victory over the Cats at GMHBA Stadium last Thursday night.

Hawthorn’s midfield went to work with Captain Emily Bates collecting 28 disposals and three clearances, while Eliza West managed 24 disposals and seven clearances.

The Hawks had eight individual goal scorers, with Jasmine Fleming, Mackenzie Eardley and Laura Stone each booting their first goal at AFLW level. Stone finished with an equal game-high three goals, while Eardley and Aine McDonagh had two each.

Lucy Wales dominated in the ruck, she managed a career and game-high 39 hit-outs, as well as 22 disposals.

What's on

It’s the inaugural Beyond Blue Mental Health Match where we encourage the community to have positive conversations around mental health.

All the school holiday fun will be available for this week’s game with food trucks, music, kids activities (including inflatables and a hair-stylist), Nature Valley giveaways and more! 

Quarter time will see a Mental Health Break with Beyond Blue and three-quarter time will play host to the Nature Valley kicking competition.

AFLW matches are mobile-only ticketing events. This means your phone is your ticket, so you must download the Hawks App and log in to your account.

Due to enhanced technology, you won’t be able to use screenshots of your tickets to scan into the venue. If you need to pass your ticket on to family or friends, you must forward your ticket using the forwarding function in the Hawks App.

Getting to Frankston

There are a variety of different options available for anyone who is travelling to Saturday night's game in Frankston to make it easy to enjoy the match. 

Public Transport 

Frankston Train Station is approximately a nine-minute walk from Kinetic Stadium. With regular departures from various Metro Melbourne stations, it's an easy way to get to and from the game. The route that will be the most direct if walking is via the Young Street exit, where you will turn left and follow the road along until you arrive at the Stadium.

By Car

Frankston is approximately a 45-minute drive from Melbourne. There is a wide variety of public car parks available, however, fees and restrictions may apply, so please check signage.

  • Frankston Arts Centre Car Park undercover car park ($2 for the first hour and $7.50 all day) – five-minute walk to the stadium  
  • Bayside Shopping Centre Entertainment Complex (fees apply) –11-minute walk to the stadium  
  • Frankston Train Station – nine-minute walk to the stadium  
  • High Street
  • Beauty Park
  • Nepean Highway

We recommend arriving early to get a good parking spot close to the game.
