Hawthorn secured a 13-point win over the Gold Coast at Kinetic Stadium.
Eliza West was instrumental for the Hawks through the centre, amassing 23 disposals, nine tackles and a goal. While young gun Jasmine Fleming, in her 25th AFLW match, showcased elite explosiveness and power out of stoppage.
Mattea Breed (15 touches) was powerful around the contest, fending off Suns opponents with ease. Her attack on the contest was exceptional and she set the tone for Hawthorn’s on-ball unit.
Tilly Lucas-Rodd (14 disposals) was a calming influence off half-back, while Greta Bodey’s (18 disposals, five tackles) versatility on the wing and as a forward was integral to Hawthorn’s success.

The Hawks met the Dockers at Fremantle Oval, going down by 13 points.
It was Emily Bates (22 disposals) and Tilly Lucas-Rodd (21 touches, five clearances) who led the way, both impressing through the middle.
Aine McDonagh, Aileen Gilroy and Greta Bodey each slotted a major apiece.
Kaitlyn Ashmore, Bates, Kristy Stratton, Lucas-Rodd and Jenna Richardson were among the Hawks best on the day.
