Hawthorn Captain Emily Bates and Vice-Captain Eliza West have tied for MVP honours following their team's nine-point win over Fremantle at Fremantle Oval on Sunday afternoon.

Bates was excellent with 19 disposals, a team-high 12 contested possessions, a game-high nine clearances and eight tackles for the day.

Her partner-in-crime West also had 19 disposals to complement her game-high 13 tackles and 11 contested possessions. 

As well as taking out MVP honours, West and Bates polled seven and five coaches' votes, respectively, for the day.
