Hawthorn has surpassed its AFLW membership record, with 5,864 members and counting joining the brown and gold family in 2024.

The record-breaking number is another achievement in a history-making season, with the Hawks currently sitting second on the ladder with seven wins and one loss, marking a record number of wins in a season.

With three weeks remaining in the 2024 home-and-away season, the Hawks are also poised to make a maiden finals appearance.

Loyal Hawks members have shown out in a wave of brown and gold so far this season, and with one Melbourne-based and one Cairns-based home game left to play, there's still time to catch the Hawks in action.

Hawthorn CEO Ash Klein extended a thank you to the dedicated members who have helped exceed this significant milestone once again.

“We are so thankful to all of our members who have helped us reach this record-breaking tally, it’s a truly proud moment for our great club," Klein said.

“In just three seasons of AFLW, our Hawks have continued to improve and create a lasting impact on the brown and gold family, with this year’s on-field performance a true testament to the team's hard work and perseverance.

“Our members play such a vital role in the team and club’s overall success, and we truly can’t thank you all enough.

“But we’re not done yet, our Hawks have three big games left to finish the home-and-away season and we’ll continue to work towards playing finals for the first time in our history.

"We can’t wait to have our members on board for every step of that journey.”

This milestone comes off the back of the club reaching over 80,000 total members for a third consecutive year, with a membership record of 83,823 ticked over during the AFL season.
