Hawthorn’s Greta Bodey has been cleared to return from injury for this weekend’s clash with Richmond, while Kristy Stratton and Emily Everist will undergo tests to determine their availibliies.
Meanwhile, first year Hawk Laura Stone is progressing well through her rehab from and ankle injury.
High Performance Manager Aaron Kellett provided further detail on each of the injured Hawks.
Greta Bodey (Toe) – Available
“Greta’s recovered well from the intervention we put in place for her toe. She’s gone through a bit of a reloading plan, this week’s a big part of that but at this stage she’ll be available for selection this week.”
Kristy Stratton (Ankle) – Test
“Really well, she’s at the pointy end of her return to play plan now, she’s got the last few criteria to square away this week with training and then by the end of the week we’ll look to make a decision on availability and what that might look like for this weekend.”
Emily Everist (Illness) – Test
“Thankfully Sherpa has recovered well, she’s back at the club yesterday and has resumed training. We’ve mapped out a bit of a reloading plan for her after her 10 days off as a result of that medical condition. We’ll see how she progresses throughout this week before making a decision later in the week on availability for Richmond or otherwise.”
Laura Stone (Ankle) - TBC
“Stoney is well. I think I mentioned last week that she progressed out of the moon boot last week so she’s full weight bearing for the last week or so. Has continued to load her calf and continued to work on her range of motion, has responded really positively. We’ll continue to step through a as long as it takes process for her, we’ve taken as I’ve said previously a conservative approach to her return to play but positively Stoney’s continuing to progress really well.”
