High Performance Manager Aaron Kellett has provided an update on a pair of Hawks following last week’s Qualifying Final.

Ainslie Kemp was taken from the field following a nasty collision, but returned to play out the game. While youngster Jas Fleming was seen nursing a lower leg complaint.

Kellett assured Hawks fans that both Kemp and Fleming are expected to be available for this Saturday night's Semi Final.

“I mean obviously people saw Ainslie (Kemp) with a bit of a contact incident on the weekend, she was taken off the field for a head impact assessment, she passed that and returned to play without an issue,” said Kellett.

“She was a little bit sore but she hasn’t suffered any delayed concussion there, so at this stage we’ll manage her through the week, she’ll look to train Thursday and will be fully available.

“The other one I think most people saw was Jas (Fleming) sort of being carried off the field, she just had a nasty cramp incident. We’ll manage the after effects of that, we might need to modify training on Thursday if needed based on how she’s presenting but at this stage we don’t see that being an issue for availability at all.”

Laura Stone (Ankle) – TBC

“Tracking really well, she’s continuing to progress her Alter-G running, ran today at 90 percent body weight, she’s continuing to strengthen her calves, her foot intrinsics. So there’s a lot of work that Laura’s now, as I’ve said all along we’re not rushing to achieve any specific milestone on her return to play, just taking it in the cliched one week at a time. But progressing really well, she’s ticking off all the markers of return as we expect her to, so progressing really well.”
