Hawthorn has farewelled Bridget Deed and Casey Dumont after informing the pair that they will not be offered contracts for the 2025 AFLW season.

Deed was Hawthorn’s first AFLW signing and made her debut in the Hawks' inaugural game in Round 1 of 2022 against Essendon.

The 21-year-old went on to play six games across her three seasons with the club.

Dumont arrived at Hawthorn as an Other Sport Rookie signing in 2023 but was unable to break through for an AFLW debut.

Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey thanked the pair for their time in the brown and gold.

“We thank Bridget and Casey for their contribution to our football club during their time with Hawthorn," Bailey said.

"While these are tough decisions, both players have been great teammates and have added to the club and our environment in many ways.

"They have been great contributors both on and off the field and we will look back on Bridget and Casey’s time here with great fondness.

“On behalf of the club, I'd like to wish them both the very best for what comes next.”
