Hawthorn has re-drafted Jack Gunston in Friday’s AFL pre-season draft.
The club had previously committed to re-drafting the 33-year-old after being delisted last month to ensure Hawthorn operated within the league’s rules of its utilisation of picks in the national draft.
The three-time premiership Hawk will now embark upon his 16th season at the top level in 2025, adding yet another exciting chapter to his glittering 260-game career.
Among his long list of accolades includes a Peter Crimmins Medal in 2018, All Australian honours in the same season, whilst also being a three-time club leading goalkicker.
In the past 12 months, Gunston’s influence in mentoring Hawthorn’s next generation of forwards has been immense, whilst also taking up a coaching role within the club’s AFLW program.
