Hawthorn has informed Sophie Locke and Tahlia Fellows that they will not be offered contracts for the 2025 AFLW season.
Locke played 20 games over three seasons and notably kicked Hawthorn's first goal in its inaugural match in Round 1 of Season 6, 2022.
Fellows was also an inaugural Hawk and managed 18 games over her three-year span with the club.
Hawthorn General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey acknowledged the contribution the pair has made to the Hawks.
“We thank Sophie and Tahlia for their time and investment at Hawthorn and for what they have contributed both on and off field,” Bailey said.
“Both players showed high levels of professionalism and have been great teammates during their time in the brown and gold.
“This is always a difficult time of year but on behalf of the club, I would like to wish Sophie and Tahlia well for the future, they will always be inaugural Hawks.”
