Hawthorn has made three changes to its side ahead of Sunday's battle with West Coast at Marvel Stadium, commencing at 4.45pm AEST.
As confirmed by Sam Mitchell in his press conference on Friday morning, midfielder Henry Hustwaite comes into the team for his first game of the season after averaging 34.3 disposals in his first three VFL matches for Box Hill this year.
Following an impressive start to the VFL season off half-back, Bailey Macdonald comes into the side for his first game since 2023 and his third overall, where he is set to showcase his run and dash.
Rounding out the ins is Jack Ginnivan, who returns to the side after kicking four goals and recording 22 disposals for Box Hill in its 46-point win over Geelong on Easter Sunday.
Conor Nash comes out of the Hawks' line-up after being suspended for four matches earlier this week, while Luke Breust has been managed and Changkuoth Jiath has been omitted for Sunday's clash.
Hawthorn Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney welcomed Hustwaite, Macdonald and Ginnivan back into the side.
"Henry has earned his spot through multiple good performances at VFL level," McCartney said.
"He's worked hard through the off-season to add different dimensions to his midfield game, and we're excited to see how he's able to implement these as he returns to AFL football.
"We're really impressed with how 'Ginni' presented as both a player and teammate at Box Hill last weekend.
"I'm sure he's looking forward to returning to the AFL arena.
"Bailey comes into the side after probably his best performance at VFL level last week.
"We're looking forward to his ability to rebound the football both with his feet and his leg speed."
