Day One: Straight to work
Hawthorn’s preparation for season 2013 headed north on Thursday as the team set off on a week-long training camp on the Sunshine Coast.
The group arrived in the sunshine state at midday and had a bite to eat before the business of the camp got underway.
It hot conditions, Alastair Clarkson and his group of coaching and fitness staff put the players through a taxing two hour session at the Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex.
Skill, running and boxing sessions were on the menu throughout the training run, before the players grabbed their footballs and had some shots on goal.
To celebrate the team’s arrival on the Sunshine Coast, the training session was open to fans, and many took the opportunity to get a glimpse of the players as they prepare for their assault on 2013.
Players stopped to sign autographs and take photos with fans before heading back to the hotel for some dinner and a rest ahead of day two.
HawksTV was on hand as the players were put through their paces and managed to chat to some fans about getting a glimpse of their heroes in Queensland.
