The Hawks are travelling across Tasmania to get involved in the community as part of the 2015 Australia Post AFL Community Camp program. The camp is currently running from Friday 27 February-Sunday 1 March.

Launceston
Day two included an underground mine tour of Mt Lyell in Queenstown with Matt Spangher, Teia Miles and Matt Suckling donning the hard hats to go 6km underground to check out the mine operation. They then ventured to the Queenstown Football Club to visit locals for a meet and greet.
Another group began their second day with breakfast by the boardwalk in Seaport for Whitelion Charity. Whitelion launched their mentoring program with Derrick Adams giving his speech to over 50 guests. The group then took to the field of Aurora Stadium to have a kick with 30 local indigenous children.
Jack Gunston, Ryan Schoenmakers and Jonathon Ceglar joined the ladies and gentlemen of the United Age Well Centre in Launceston. After a few scones and a cup of tea they headed towards Barnbougle, Lost Farm for a hit of golf. Gunston was the star of the day driving a ball out of sight! Another great day exploring Tasmania.
Another Launceston group visited Fingal for the Annual Fingal Coal Shovelling Festival. They enjoyed Coal Shovelling as well as Roof Bolting and Wood Chopping contests with the local kids. Will Langford, Liam Shiels and Alex Woodward took on locals in a sack race battle.
The Devonport group comprising of Grant Birchall, Angus Litherland and Marc Pittonet, set sail on the historical fishing vessel, the Julie Burgess. The Group sailed out into Bass Straight and helped the crew raise and lower the sails on the 2 hour journey.
Josh Gibson, Taylor Duryea, Sam Grimely and Ben McEvoy were lucky enough to participate in the Starlight Foundation AMF Bowling competition with locals before heading to Go Karts in Turner's Marsh. Gibson took out pole position, closely followed by Grimely.

Hobart
The south of Tasmania saw Brian Lake, Paul Puopolo and Tim O'Brien ride the scenic seaplane thanks to Tas Air Adventures. After taking in the sights of Port Arthur the group headed to the PCYC and Tasman Peninsula Football Club to run a clinic at Portsea Recreation Reserve.
The second Hobart group, consisting of Sam Mitchell, David Hale, Shaun Burgoyne and Jonathon O'Rourke, took a segway tour in Hobart's bush. The boys had to contend with rocks, hills, dips and more during their trip with Mitchell doing very well to avoid an almost certain topple over the handle bars. They then visited patients at the Ronald McDonald House in Hobart, with the boys playing games and chatting to the children.
The final Hobart group enjoyed a day of golf at Royal Hobart Golf Course as the boys spent a few hours teaching the local kids the finer points of golf before taking to the course to show off their golfing ability. They then joined the other Hobart group for a fun night of trivia at the Cancer Council Trivia Night at Tattersall's Park Function Centre in Glenorchy. The night was conducted to raise funds for Hawthorn Football Club's community partner Cancer Council Tasmania. A fun night was had by all.
