Hawthorn Football Club has broken its all-time membership record for the ninth consecutive year, having passed the 2014 benchmark of 68,650 members.
This milestone brings the club one step closer to achieving its goal of 80,000 members by 2017 as outlined in the business plan all for one.
CEO Stuart Fox was thrilled to announce the news, crediting the club’s members with the achievement, and has encouraged supporters who are yet to sign up to do so.
“To break the club’s membership record for the ninth consecutive season is a significant achievement, and reinforces the incredible support and loyalty we receive from the Hawthorn faithful.
“I would like to congratulate every member who has signed-up, which includes 8,654 Tassie Hawks members, who have shown their support for the brown and gold.
“We currently have over 8,500 members who are yet to renew, and we encourage them to sign up and join the team for 2015.
“We have an enormous opportunity to push towards our long-term goal of achieving 80,000 members, which will take a collective effort.
