You couldn’t help but take notice of Jack Gunston’s pink socks when he fronted the media at the Ricoh Centre this afternoon.
The Hawthorn forward gave fans the first look at the socks, which will be worn by the side in this Sunday’s Pink Ribbon clash with the Western Bulldogs.
The eye-catching addition to the Hawks match-day kit will aim to raise awareness for Cancer Council Tasmania (CCT) and all those affected by breast and women’s cancers.
The club is also asking all supporters to ‘wear a splash of pink’ to the game.
On average 8 Tasmanians are diagnosed with Cancer every day, making the work of CCT vital to the health of the community CCT is 90% funded by the Tasmanian community so they rely heavily on donations from the public, please give generously to volunteers stationed around the ground rattling tins as you arrive at the ground.
