James Frawley v Josh Kennedy
When we played the Eagles in Round 15 Frawley achieved the near impossible and kept the Eagles’ big forward goalless.
It was Kennedy’s second goalless match in 104 games, the other time being when Frawley kept Kennedy goalless in the 2015 grand final.
Since then the Eagles’ all-time leading goal scorer has returned to form kicking his 600th career goal in a seven-goal bag against North Melbourne.
Kennedy has kicked 54 goals at Perth Stadium in his 18 games at the ground, an average of three goals a game in front of his home crowd.
Will Frawley be able to make another goalless game for Kennedy, or will the home ground advantage get Kennedy firing?
Ben McEvoy v Tom Hickey
McEvoy had a change of scenery last week against the Gold Coast lining up in the back line and allowing Jonathon Ceglar to take the hit-outs.
With the Hawks needing the win to make finals, it could be assumed that our number one ruck will resume his duties back in the middle.
The last time we played the Eagles Nic Nat was in town. However, as Naitanui is now injured Tom Hickey will shoulder the majority of the ruckload.
The two former St Kilda teammates will go head-to-head for the second time this season.
James Worpel v Luke Shuey
What does 34 + 31 + 37 + 34 equal? Four absolutely outstanding performances from our number 5.
The midfielder has found consistency in recent weeks with a month of solid form where he averages 34 disposals.
Shuey, on the other hand averages 26 possessions over the past month, eight less than Worps.
However, when we last played the Eagles Shuey was best on ground with 39 disposals.
Will the in-form youngster take control of the middle or will Shuey have another best on ground performance?
