Paul Puopolo

Puopolo was back to his menacing best against GWS on the weekend, laying a season-high six tackles along with a season-high 16 disposals. The small forward has built into the year well and a continuation of that form into this week’s clash against Richmond will be a huge boost for the Hawks.

Jon Ceglar

In the final quarter of last week’s game, Ceglar singlehandedly put the game’s result beyond doubt as he dominated the airways and kicked two important goals in the opening minutes of the term. Ceglar’s ability to complement teammate Ben McEvoy in the ruck has proved a valuable asset to the Hawks this year. The Hawks look a much stronger side when the 28-year-old is influencing the game with his marking.

Tim O’Brien

No Hawk has registered more one-percenters than Tim O’Brien in the last three weeks. Spending the entirety of his season to date in the back half, O’Brien has showed a great desperation over his three senior appearances in 2019. This week O'Brien will run out for his 50th game since being drafted by the Hawks with Pick 28 in the 2012 national draft. His average of 14 disposals and 5.3 marks over this time has also been important out of the defensive half for the Hawks.

Dustin Martin

After a slower start to the season than what we’ve become accustomed to from Martin, the 2017 Brownlow Medallist has shown some improved form over the past month. The 27-year-old has averaged 22.5 disposals and 1.3 goals per game in his last four games as he has helped the Tigers navigate through an injury-riddled period.

Tom Lynch

Despite a six-goal performance in Round 4, one could argue that Lynch’s best effort in the yellow and black came last week when he pulled down a massive six contested marks to go along with his season-high 15 touches and two goals. Lynch has been criticised in recent weeks for his lack of production but, sitting third in the Coleman Medal tally, this scrutiny seems unjustified.
