Tom Mitchell's ability to rack up possessions is common knowledge.

He owns the league record for most disposals in a game, most touches in a season and most 30-plus-possession games in a year.

The man is a ball magnet.

Hawthorn fans' 2019 got off to one of the worst starts imagineable when news came through that the 2018 Brownlow Medallist had broken his leg in a training mishap.

Alastair Clarkson was forced to fill, or at least partially fill, the void of Mitchell's 848 disposals in his stellar campaign the previous year.

But it turns out it wasn't just Clarko scrambling to keep up, with much of the league still playing catch up with the 26-year-old Hawk.

We've compiled a team of 22 players who, despite having an entire 2019 season to match Mitchell's 848 touches over the past "two" seasons, are yet to do so.

This side includes 12 players who have received All Australian honours, four current or previous club captains and a Brownlow Medallist.

11 of these players also featured in at least 15 more games than Mitchell across the past two years.
