Fremantle then added the next five, lead by their captain Nat Fyfe who kicked three goals of his own to get the Dockers within eight points at half time.
The Hawks regained control in the second half adding seven further goals to Fremantle’s four to win by 31 points.
Mitch Lewis had another strong game for the Hawks leading the goal kicking with three goals to his name and James Worpel lead the disposal tally with 33 possessions.
Grant Birchall successfully made it through his first AFL game in two years as did Chad Wingard who returned this week from a hamstring injury to collect 15 disposals and kick two goals straight.

Box Hill responded when they had their opportunity with the wind, however they weren’t as accurate scoring five goals eight in the second quarter to go into half time trailing by 11 points.

Drew with Carlton 24-24
Ladder position: 8th
Hawthorn’s VFLW side has dropped to 8th position on the ladder following a draw with Carlton in Round 10.
The Hawks had a strong opening quarter with six scoring opportunities when they had the wind, however they were unable to capitalise scoring just one goal five.
A Sarah Perkins goal in the second quarter extended the Hawks lead to nine points heading into the half time break.
Momentum switched in the second half and despite Hawthorn having the wind in the third term, Carlton dominated possession and kept the Hawks scoreless for the quarter.
Carlton kicked two goals at the start of the final term to take the lead for the first time in the match, however a final goal to Hawthorn’s Kara Henderson drew scores level with a few minutes remaining.
The Hawks had possession in the remaining minutes but were unable to get a score on the board ending the game in a heartbreaking draw.
