Hawthorn has recalled Jack Scrimshaw to the senior side ahead of its clash with West Coast on Saturday night.

Scrimshaw has not featured at AFL level since the Round 10 meeting with Port Adelaide when the defender injured his knee.

Prior to that, the 20-year-old played in nine of the opening 10 games of the season, averaging 16.2 disposals and 4.3 marks.

GM – Football Graham Wright said Scrimshaw had worked hard to earn his place back in the senior side.

“At first we didn’t think Jack’s injury would keep him sidelined as long as it ultimately did,” Wright said.

“We’re really pleased that his efforts have earned him another game before the year is out.

“He’s had a strong conditioning block at VFL level so we think he is more than ready to take on the Eagles.”

Dan Howe will also make his return after being managed in Round 22.

Howe has found himself in defence recently and has applied himself well, averaging 17 disposals.

After two senior games, Changkuoth Jiath has been omitted from the side, while Jarryd Roughead is the other change after announcing earlier in the week that the Gold Coast game would be his last.
