Luke Roberts is a passionate advocate of inclusion and accessibility for all people living with disability. He uses the Grid Pad technology, in conjunction with a Quha device which communicates with the Grid Pad. This technology, along with the support of his speech pathologist, enables Luke to write the VWFL match reports.
Hawthorn versus Essendon Round 4 of wheelchair football.
At quarter time, Hawthorn led by 12 points
Essendon caught up by half time and 3 quarter time but the Hawks were too good in the fourth quarter and won 88 to 57, giving Hawthorn their first win in the club’s history.
Brian Owens scored 9 goals to help with the victory.
The team improved greatly with their ball control and scoring opportunities.
This first win was a great way to get the ball rolling and we are hoping to add to the win streak next week against Collingwood.
