ADELAIDE

Player

Injury

Estimated Return

 Matt Crouch Hip/abdominal Test
 Tom Doedee Knee Season
 Sam Jacobs Knee Test
 Tom Lynch Hamstring Test
 Updated: Tuesday, May 28

Early prognosis

Crouch and Lynch will have to complete main training on Thursday to be considered for Saturday night's encounter with Melbourne in Darwin. Crouch has missed the past two games with a small muscle tear in the abdominal area near his hip, while Lynch had a low-grade hamstring strain that forced him to miss last week's 12-point loss to West Coast. Jacobs will also be assessed this week to see if he will play his first game since round two. The experienced ruckman is likely to return through the SANFL having had surgery to his right knee in April. - Lee Gaskin

 Jarrod Pickett Knee Indefinite
Dale Thomas Club suspension Round 12
 Tom Williamson Back 1 week
 Updated: Tuesday, May 28

Early prognosis

A relatively healthy list for Carlton when compared to some others. Jones has now missed three matches with concussion, while Murphy is inching closer to playing after suffering fractured ribs two weeks ago against GWS. Thomas will play VFL this week after a club-imposed suspension, while McGovern tweaked his ankle halfway through the final quarter on Sunday and the club is yet to confirm the severity of the injury. - Riley Beveridge

 Anton Tohill Quad Test
 Travis Varcoe Suspension Available
 Daniel Wells  Knee 13 weeks
 Updated: Tuesday, May 28

Early prognosis

Wells has again been cruelled by a long-term injury, and there's a possibility Langdon could also be set for a lengthy stint on the sidelines. However, the Pies are hopeful they will regain stars De Goey, Cox and Moore for the clash with Fremantle at the MCG on Saturday. They will also have the option of bringing back Varcoe, but will be without Adams and Elliott for at least another fortnight. Tyler Brown, Appleby and Tohillare nearing returns, but Murphy's recovery has been slow and Kelly suffered a hamstring tendon injury in the VFL. The season seems over for veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. - Ben Collins

 Joe Daniher Groin Season
 Sam Draper Knee Season

 Dylan Shiel Hamstring Test
 Devon Smith Knee Season
 James Stewart Groin 1-2 weeks
 Jake Stringer Hamstring 2-3 weeks
 Updated: Tuesday, May 28

Early prognosis

Stringer has added to the Bombers' injury woes, and while Shiel has not yet been ruled out of playing against Carlton on Sunday, Essendon will play that conservatively with the star midfielder. Fantasia is due back after the Bombers' round 12 bye and his return can't come quick enough. - Callum Twomey

Early prognosis

Dangerfield has progressed with his ankle and will look to train on Wednesday in order to tackle the Swans. Guthrie will need to train fully this week to prove he's over the hip he injured against the Suns. Constable felt his groin in the early stages in the VFL and is awaiting assessment. Narkle felt tightness in his hamstring in his return match from the same injury on Sunday and was sent for scans. Henderson remains at least a week away with Menegola still on track for post-bye. - Mitch Cleary

The news is better for Lewis, who should return this weekend, while Smith will also attempt to prove his fitness after three games out. Mirra sat out last week's Box Hill game and may miss again. First-year draftee Jacob Koschitzke missed a second straight VFL match last week and was limited at last week's main training session, but hasn't appeared on the injury report in that time. - Marc McGowan

Ahern and Davies-Uniacke are the fresh ones on the list and will have to pass fitness tests after setbacks in the VFL and AFL, respectively. The Roos are taking it cautiously with Tyson's calf issue, particularly given he has already had a recurrence this season, and he remains at least a fortnight off. - Marc McGowan

A host of Eagles – including Shannon Hurn, Jeremy McGovern, Josh Kennedy, Jack Darling, Brad Sheppard and Will Schofield – were missing from training on Tuesday after a bruising encounter against Adelaide, although there is no suggestion at this stage they won't be available to face the Bulldogs. Masten trained and could be back from a minor hamstring, but Hickey was unsighted and so was Venables following a bad concussion. Naitanui was leaping, sprinting and leading for marks as he edges closer but a comeback is still about a month away. - Travis King
