In his second year at Hawthorn, Harry Jones continued a strong rate of development.
A pre-season stand-out, Jones was touted as a contender for an early season senior debut as he thrived into a move with the midfielders.
As the year panned out, an AFL opportunity didn’t quite come to fruition but the rookie undeniably took steps forward with his performances at VFL level.
The 20-year-old averaged 21 and six tackles through his 13 appearances for Box Hill this year.
His work ethic stood out, with his willingness to work both ways impressing coaches.
Jones’ year was sadly cut short when he injured his knee in the Hawks’ Round 15 win over Frankston.
The midfielder was one of five young Hawks to re-sign for 2020 at the end of last month.
