Ben McEvoy has undergone surgery to repair a fractured cheekbone sustained in Hawthorn’s Round 16 clash against the Bulldogs.

The ruckman collided with Bulldog Josh Dunkley in the fourth quarter of Saturday night’s game. He left the ground and took no further part in the match.

“We can confirm that Ben went in for surgery yesterday,” GM-Football Graham Wright said.

“He’s home now recovering, and the club will provide an update and time frame for his recovery in the coming days.”
