Veteran Shaun Burgoyne is set to be a likely inclusion against the Saints this week after missing the last three matches with a hamstring injury.
Alastair Clarkson told the media after last weekend’s game he was hopeful the 35-year-old would return for the trip to Launceston after the club had so far taken a cautious approach with the injury.
The Hawks will also need some defensive cover with James Sicily suspended for one match.
Kaiden Brand looms as a potential inclusion, unless the Hawks opt for a more mobile back six, in which case Teia Miles, Box Hill's ANZAC Round medallist, could be in the frame.
Brendan Whitecross and Jonathan O’Rourke both had 34 disposals in Box Hill’s big win over Coburg and could be considered, while James Worpel seems to be edging closer to an AFL debut after acting as Hawthorn's carry-over emergency in Round 5.
Key planks Ryan Schoenmakers and Mitchell Lewis each kicked three goals, as did Irishman Conor Nash.
Hawthorn's team will be announced tonight at 6.25pm.
