Ruckman Jonathon Ceglar could be in line to make his long-awaited return from injury against the Eagles this weekend.
Ceglar ruptured his ACL more than 18 months ago – also against West Coast – and could be included as the Hawks look to combat the ruck duo of Nic Naitanui and Scott Lycett.
Ceglar has strung three solid games together in the VFL, with his latest performance culminating in 28 disposals and a goal as he finished one of the Hawks’ best.
Key defender James Frawley is also expected to return, after missing the loss to the Lions with a sore shoulder, as is Jaeger O’Meara who was kept out with a corked calf.
Meanwhile midfielder Kieran Lovell was a standout for Box Hill, helping his side to a 38-point win over the Northern Blues.
Lovell gathered 30 disposals to go with a goal as he put together arguably his best game for the season.
Forward Ryan Schoenmakers also pressed his case for a recall with three goals, including the game’s opener, as he marked and presented well all day.
