Some good news on the injury front, with no major issues to report out of Sunday’s game.
Key Hawks James Sicily and Ben McEvoy each continue their respective recoveries, with both players progressing well according to Director of High Performance Andrew Russell.
“We’re really pleased with how [Sicily’s] wrist has settled,” Russell said.
“When you have a fractured scaphoid, the healing rates are really different.
“But we’re really pleased, it looks healthy.”
McEvoy is also tracking as predicted, since having surgery on his fractured cheekbone following a head clash in Round 16.
“Initially we thought he’d miss around six weeks, that’s still the expectation,” Russell said.
“He’s missed three now, so he’s about half way through.
“He’s back doing some skills and he’s looking good.”
