Tom Mitchell
Not many people have achieved what this man has in his first 99 games of football. An All Australian, a Peter Crimmins Medallist and the owner of an array of disposal records, Mitchell celebrates his 100th game milestone this Saturday afternoon against the Gold Coast Suns. The 25-year old is enjoying another stellar year, averaging 34.6 disposals, 16.4 contested possessions, 5.6 tackles and a career-high 8.8 clearances. With the Suns boasting two of the top 25 contested ball winning midfielders in David Swallow and Jarryd Lyons, Mitchell will again have his hands full this weekend.
Luke Breust
Despite coming off a season-high 23 disposals in last week’s win against Adelaide, Breust’s recent form in front of goal has somewhat dwindled since his lightning start to the year. After kicking 23 goals through the first eight games of the season, the 27-year has managed just two goals in the last four games. Remaining atop of the club’s goalkicking list, Breust will be keen to reassert his dominance in front of the big sticks.
Jack Gunston
Averaging 26 disposals, 8.5 marks and four inside 50s over the past fortnight, Gunston is one of the Hawks’ in-form players ahead of this Round 14 match-up against the Suns. There is no opposition side that Gunston averages more disposals against than the Gold Coast, with 18.7 touches to go along with his 7.8 marks and 2.1 goals per game over his 10 encounters with the Suns. Averaging 22.7 possessions, 8.7 marks and 1.3 goals over his last three games at the University of Tasmania Stadium, the stars are aligning for another big game from the 26-year old forward.
Jarrod Witts
Only Melbourne’s Max Gawn has had more hit-outs this year than Suns ruckman Jarrod Witts. The 25-year old has been a stand-out for the Suns this year and would likely be featuring high up in his club’s best and fairest count to this point in the season. Witts is also averaging a career-high 14.8 possessions and 4.8 clearances per game, highlighting his ability to impact the game in multiple facets in 2018.

Tom Lynch hasn’t quite had the season he would have hoped for in 2018, averaging the fewest goals, marks and disposals of any of his past five years. The 25-year old is undoubtedly one of the star key forwards of the competition but, with his side having failed to notch a win in the past two months, his form has similarly dwindled. Nevertheless, a talent of this calibre should always be expected and, with a three-goal, 16-possession performance last week against St Kilda, Lynch is showing signs of a rediscovery of form.
