Hawthorn’s Round 15 side will be bolstered by the return of ruckman Jonathon Ceglar, who missed last Saturday’s match against the Suns with a corked quad.
Ceglar comes in to replace Shaun Burgoyne who will miss around a month of football due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Round 14.
“It’s disappointing to lose such an experienced head in Shaun, but it’s great to have Cegs back this week to take on the Giants,” GM-Football Graham Wright said.
“Tim O’Brien came in last week and filled an important role for us, so he retains his spot and will be valuable against the GWS talls.”
Ben McEvoy and Paul Puopolo will both make the trip to Sydney to take on the Giants, after the safe arrival of daughters Moira McEvoy and Giselle Puopolo this week.
Saturday night’s match proves vital in Hawthorn’s race to make the finals, with the Giants only narrowly behind the ninth-placed Hawks, on percentage.
