The Hawks are set to make at least one change to the side that defeated Gold Coast after Shaun Burgoyne suffered a hamstring injury.
Ruckman Jonathon Ceglar is one player expected to return after missing the Round 13 clash with a corked quad, while midfielder James Cousins could also be in the mix after continuing his consistent form at VFL level.
The 20-year-old collected 25 disposals, took five marks and laid four tackles for Box Hill on the weekend, providing plenty of run and carry.
Named as an emergency for the Hawks’ clash with the Suns, Teia Miles is another who will be in the frame for selection this week after also gathering 25 disposals in Box Hill’s loss to Essendon.
The number 42 grabbed nine marks and had four inside fifties and will be hoping to force his way into the team in the coming weeks, as will teammate Kieran Lovell who racked up 20 disposals playing between midfield and forward.
Tall forward Mitch Lewis may be called on should the Hawks look to stretch the Giants’ defence. The youngster was solid with three goals, six marks and seven tackles at VFL level.
