Hawthorn could be buoyed by the return of both James Frawley and Jaeger O’Meara as early as this weekend, with the pair expected to line up against West Coast on Sunday.
Despite being named in the initial squad, Frawley missed the Round 9 clash against Brisbane after failing to prove his fitness in time for final selection.
“Chip’s shoulder hadn’t recovered from the game before,” Director of High Performance Andrew Russell said.
“He trained last Thursday but didn’t come out of the session as well as we would have wanted,”
“It’s settling down well, and with another six days… it’s tracking like he’ll play.”

O’Meara, who was forced out of the Round 9 loss after sustaining a corked calf against Sydney, is also expected to return following a week off.
“We knew that the cork was an issue coming out of the [Round 8] game,” Russell said.
“He did a little bit of training but again, he wasn’t good enough.
“He couldn’t get above 70 percent in the main training session.
“We expect [it] to be a one week injury and expect to see him out there this week.”
The players will have ample time to prove their fitness, with the Hawks set to host the Eagles at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
