Jaeger O’Meara

Set to play his 20th game of the year on Saturday night, Jaeger O’Meara is enjoying the best season of his career in 2018. O’Meara is averaging career-highs in disposals (24.1), clearances (4.7), uncontested possessions (14.2) and goals (0.8). His form over his previous five outings has been especially impressive, averaging 28.2 touches, five tackles, 5.4 clearances and 1.2 goals per game.

Jack Gunston

Fresh off signing a new three-year deal and delivering a best on ground performance against St Kilda last week, Gunston is in some serious form as September nears. Gunston has averaged 21 disposals and 3.7 goals over the past three weeks. The 26-year old is just four goals short of booting his 50th goal of the season, a threshold he has reached in three of his past four seasons.

Isaac Heeney

Isaac Heeney has gone to another level in 2018, becoming one of Sydney’s most important players with his ability to play in any position on the ground. The 22-year old has been somewhat of a Mr Fix-It for the Swans of late, whether it be through his match-saving mark against Melbourne a fortnight ago or his game-high 10 tackles against the Giants last week. Heeney will relish the combative contest on Saturday night.

Dane Rampe

Despite having more disposals than just four of his teammates against GWS last weekend, Dane Rampe was one of his side’s most influential players in their all-important win. Rampe blanketed the Giants’ number one match-winner in Jeremy Cameron, restricting him to just eight disposals and a goal as he struggled to have any impact on the game. Expect Rampe to put his hand up for one of the Hawks’ two in-form forwards, either Gunston or Luke Breust.

Luke Parker

The Swans may have struggled to overcome the Giants last week had they not had Luke Parker in their side. Parker was enormous on the night, recording 33 disposals, seven marks, eight clearances, five inside 50s, five tackles and two goals. The hard-nosed midfielder is tailor-made for the tough, contested brand of footy that last week was and this Saturday night promises to be.
