Emerging young Hawks Harry Morrison and Mitch Lewis have re-signed with the club until at least the end of the 2020 season.
Morrison, who made his debut for the Hawks in Round 23 last year, has been in impressive form in 2018 playing every game since Round 2.
The 19-year-old is averaging 15 disposals this season, playing predominantly on the wing. His best game came in Round 6 when he managed 25 disposals and a goal in the win over St Kilda.
Fellow 2016 draftee Lewis has also excited Hawks fans in 2018, making his debut in the Hawks’ Round 9 loss to Brisbane on the back of some strong form for Box Hill at VFL level.
The key forward booted 14 goals in five games before receiving his senior call up, and will look to build on his two AFL games over the course of the season.
GM– Football Graham Wright said today that the club was rapt to have secured the young pair for a further two years.
“We’re really pleased that both Harry and Mitchell have committed to the club,” Wright said.
“Both have shown really promising form at AFL level this year and we look forward to watching their continued growth and development in the years to come.”
