The Hawks will need to make at least one change this week after ruckman Ben McEvoy suffered a fractured cheekbone in the win over the Western Bulldogs. 

Will Langford is a chance to return from a finger injury after missing just the one game, while Kieran Lovell will also come under consideration after another solid performance for Box Hill, gathering 20 disposals.

Young ruckman Marc Pittonet will be an outside chance to make his first senior appearance for the year, but will first have to prove his fitness during the week after rolling his ankle in the VFL on the weekend.

The Hawks could also call on key forward Mitch Lewis to add some height to the side in McEvoy’s absence, with the 19-year-old kicking six goals across the last three matches for Box Hill.  

Versatile tall Tim O’Brien pinch-hit in the ruck for Box Hill on the weekend, earning 10 hit outs to go with 19 disposals and seven marks, and could be set for an AFL return, while Irishman Conor Nash continues to push his case for a senior debut with another strong outing.
