Hawthorn big man Jonathon Ceglar looks set to return this Saturday, after missing last week’s clash with quad soreness.

The ruckman sustained a corked quad in Hawthorn’s Round 13 win over Adelaide and, despite being initially named to play, was unable to prove his fitness in time for last Saturday’s hit out.

According to Director of Performance Andrew Russell, Ceglar is expected to return to full fitness in time for this weekend’s must-win clash with GWS.

“Cegs has pulled up well from his corkie,” said Russell.

“He will be available for selection this week.”

Since returning from a long hiatus as he recovered from a knee reconstruction, Ceglar had managed three consecutive games.

In positive signs for Hawthorn fans, the 204cm Hawk appeared to be gaining form and confidence with each hit out, as he split the ruck responsibilities with fellow big man Ben McEvoy.
