After close to 18 months out of the game due to an ACL injury, ruckman Jonathon Ceglar appears to be hitting top form at the right time of year.
The 27-year-old reached an equal career-high 37 hit-outs in the Hawks’ 72-point win against the Blues on the weekend, as well as a season-best 16 disposals, and appears primed to help lift the Hawks into this season’s finals.

The tally is Ceglar’s best in more than four years, with the Hawks’ Round 15, 2014, clash with the Gold Coast the last time he achieved the feat.
Making his return to the side in the Round 10 loss to West Coast, Ceglar now has seven games under his belt and is enjoying the Hawks’ number one ruck mantle in the absence of fellow big man Ben McEvoy.
And with McEvoy sidelined for a further three to four weeks as he recovers from a broken cheekbone, Ceglar appears set to have the opportunity to further build his form and cement his place in the side heading into September.
