Hawthorn has made a late change to its Round 16 side, with Jonathan O’Rourke coming in to replace Conor Glass.
According to GM-Football Graham Wright, Glass reported tonsillitis this morning and the Hawks’ match committee have decided to take a cautious approach.
“We’ve got guys knocking down the door at Box Hill, so we’d rather not take the risk if he isn’t 100 per cent,” Wright said.
“Jono has been a strong performer in the VFL for some time now, so we’re excited to see him grab his opportunity tonight.
O’Rourke was last seen at AFL level in Round 20 2016 before experiencing an injury-riddled 2017 campaign. This will be the former No.2 draft pick’s 19th AFL game.
