Hawthorn’s VFLW team has redeemed itself from last week's loss with a record 54-point win over the Western Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.
It was the biggest win the side has produced since joining the VFLW competition as Box Hill at the start of 2017.
The Bulldogs got off to a quick start, but it was the Hawks who controlled the rest of the game in their biggest effort this season.
Bailey Hunt kicked the opening goal for the visitors, but momentum was quickly reclaimed as Phoebe McWilliams replied for the home side.
Composure and momentum in the forward line gave the Hawks plenty of opportunities, as Sarah Perkins and Rosie Dillon executed to give the Hawks a 24-point lead at the first break.

Dillon continued to impress by kicking her second goal, before the Bulldogs replied with another dint on the scoreboard from Sarah Jolly.
Rebecca Beeson opened the third term strongly with a quick boot to add her name to the list of goal scorers.
From that point the Hawks appeared unstoppable, with majors from both McWilliams and Gilder bringing their goal tally to two each.
An early goal from Perkins widened the margin to a comfortable 60-points early into the final quarter.
The Bulldogs were not going down with a fight, with back-to-back goals from Tayla Dinuccio and Kirsten McLeod slightly reducing the final margin.
A third goal to Perkins just shy off the final siren was enough to seal the result 11.12(78) to 4.0(24).
It was an important win for the Hawks, who travel interstate to take on the Northern Thunder at TIO Stadium next Saturday August 18th at 4:30pm.
