With a blink of an eye, here we are, 14 rounds into the 2018 home and away season.

Time flies when you’re having fun, right? Well, it hasn’t all been emphatic wins and 350-game milestone celebrations – there have been some difficult times for the Hawks too.

We thought it was about time to summarise our season so far the best way we know how – in pop culture gifs (with a few James Sicily reactions thrown in for good measure).

ROUND 1

A win against the Colliwobbles, and a 54-touch haul for Tommy Mitchell to start the season had us all like…

ROUND 2

A huge Easter Monday blockbuster in front of 70 odd thousand that went down to the wire.

First we were all like…

Then we were all like…

ROUND 3

Finally, a chance to prove ourselves against the reigning premiers.

No win, but an admirable fight back in the final term. Glass half full, right?

ROUND 4

Things are looking grim, as the Demons managed to boot four of the first five goals of the match.

But it seems the Melbourne team bus was on a tight schedule, as the Dees packed up at quarter time and left the Hawks to cruise toward a 67-point victory.

ROUND 5

It seems the Hawks were the ones who had ‘schedule’ issues this week. The boys didn’t seem to show up until half time and by then, it was all too late. The Roos, who went in as underdogs, finished 28-point victors.

ROUND 6

We got our first taste of Launnie under lights, as the Hawks met the Saints on a cold April night.

It wasn’t the prettiest of contests, but we got what we came for.

ROUND 7

After a week’s ‘rest’, James Sicily returned with a vengeance to help the Hawks overrun the Dons by 23 points.

High fives all ‘round!

ROUND 8

Cold, wet conditions for the beyondblue Cup.

Two goals ahead with just eight minutes to go in the last, you’d be forgiven for feeling relatively safe, right?

Wrong. Swans pile on the next three goals to win by eight.

ROUND 9

A must win game against two familiar faces. Just our second trip up to the Gabba in over 10 years. Six changes to our line-up.

Too many factors, it would seem. The Lions play, the Hawks pay.

ROUND 10

The top-of-the-table Eagles, off the back of two tough losses.

Our boys put on a brave performance, but it’s just not enough to match it with the league’s pacesetters.

It’s been a tough three weeks for Hawthorn fans.

ROUND 11

Sir Doug Nicholls Round, back in our Tassie fortress, against the Power who have had our number many times before. We need a win to keep our season alive.

ENTER: Shaun Burgoyne.

The superstar veteran pulls another huge performance out of the bag to help Hawthorn over the line by three points.

ROUND 13

A week off with the bye, before the Hawks meet the Crows in Burgoyne’s 350th game.

An even first half, until James Sicily started dropping bombs from the 50m arch.

Three third quarter goals while playing at half back. What a man.

ROUND 14

An ugly win against the Suns, but a strong win none the less.

Let’s put the four points in the bank, leave the goal kicking woes behind, and move forward.

So here we are, 15 weeks in, preparing for an all-important clash against the GWS Giants.

We’ve got nine clashes to go, a top eight to break into, and finals to play (glass half full, remember?)

Here’s hoping there are plenty more of these types of GIFs to come...

And several more James Sicily goal celebrations along the way.
