Mikala Cann has been selected by Collingwood with Pick 13 in the 2018 AFLW Draft.

Cann was the first VFLW Hawk selected in the draft. 

After an impressive season with the Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup Girls competition which saw her earn Team of the Year honours, Cann went on to feature in six VFLW games for the Hawks in the second half of the year.

The 17-year-old was the youngest player in the Hawks premiership side which overcame Geelong in the Grand Final.

The midfielder was clearly not overawed by the magnitude of the game, performing strongly as she collected 14 disposals (10 contested possessions) and nine tackles. 

It followed an equally impressive semi final effort, where Cann helped the Hawks over the line with 21 touches, three marks and eight tackles.
