Jack Gunston is closing in on his 300th career goal, only four majors away from reaching the impressive milestone.

● Having played his 150th game in the Hawks season opener against Collingwood this year, Gunston has an impressive career average of 1.93 goals per game.
● Of the current Hawks list, only Jarryd Roughead (539 career goals) and Luke Breust (315) have kicked more majors.
● Gunston requires four goals to reach 300 career majors. He has kicked a bag of four or more on 24 occasions
● The former Crow kicked 20 goals in his 14 games for Adelaide. He has kicked 276 goals in 139 games as a Hawk.
● Gunston’s best effort in a single game is six goals, a feat he has achieved twice: in Round 17, 2015 against Carlton and Round 16, 2014 against North Melbourne
● The sharpshooter’s highest season tally was in 2014, when he kicked 58 goals. Playing 23 games in a premiership year, Gunston averaged 2.5 goals per game.
● In the game’s 121-year history, only 180 players have reached the 300-goal milestone.
● There have been 18 players who have pulled on a brown and gold jumper and reached the benchmark
● Only 12 current players have booted 300 career goals
