Pre-season football isn't about the wins, it's about getting game time into players and fine tuning the structures before the real season starts.
That was the message out of Alastair Clarkson's post-match press conference today.
"You are just searching as best as you can to get somewhere around 80 minutes of footy into most of your players," Clarkson said.
"And then you start to recognise some of the things that you've been working on over the summer, and like a lot of the other teams, we recognised some good stuff, and we recognised some scratchy stuff.
"So we will try to work on some things over the next week leading into the Carlton game down in Tassie."
