Our VFL Women’s side will face their third top-five team on the trot when they travel to the Peanut Farm Reserve to take on the St Kilda Sharks from 2pm this Sunday.
After spirited but ultimately unsuccessful clashes against Darebin and Diamond Creek, the Hawks will look to secure the four points when they face the fifth-placed Sharks who have won four of their last five games.
The Round 8 clash is of particular significance to our VFL Women’s side as St Kilda will become the first team they have played twice in 2017. The Hawks hosted the 2016 finalists in Round 3 and, in a significant step forward for Paddy Hill’s side, were in the hunt until the Sharks wiggled away in the last quarter. This Sunday will be yet another marker for how far we have come.
Last week's Monique Trusler has held her place in this week’s side, which also welcomes back Olivia Flanagan.
