James Cousins

27 possessions, 5 marks, 2 tackles

“I feel like I’m saying the same thing every week, but his ability to win the contested footy, clearance and his workrate in and around stoppage is elite for us. He ended up with 27 disposals, with 14 of them contested, so it’s another pretty good game from him. He is helping us rebound as well, so his workrate to get back and help and also get it inside 50 has been good. He is continuing to get better, he’s a young kid who’s got a lot of development left in him but from what he’s showing he just loves competing.” CN

Brendan Whitecross

25 possessions, 5 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal

“He didn’t play back this week, he played mid and a little bit forward so it was a change of role for him but he’s very versatile and can play all lines. We played him in the middle just because we wanted that bigger body inside. He was very good at setting us up going forward and had 10 contested possessions of his 25. His ability to communicate is also first class.” CN

Teia Miles

23 possessions, 6 marks

“Pretty good game from ‘Milesy’, he had nine contested possessions as well which is good to see. He’s getting in some good positions and he uses the ball so well. He provides that offensive link in the offensive chain for us from the back half. He’s actually competing really well defensively too, which he continually strives to find that balance. He also took three marks from the opposition’s boot, which is pretty good from a little fella.” CN

Kade Stewart

17 possessions, 4 marks, 6 tackles, 1 goal

“’Stewy’ finds a way to hit the scoreboard every week. He played between mid and forward on the weekend, and I think probably more forward. He’s really good overhead as well, he took three contested marks on the day so he can sort of play a bit taller than what he presents. 11 of his 17 possessions were contested so his effort throughout the day was really good.” CN

Conor Glass

17 possessions, 6 marks, 1 tackle

“He had 17 disposals, and a couple of shots on goal, one fell short and the other one just missed. So, it was good to see him hitting the scoreboard. Playing midfield is quite new to Conor, so he is still learning and developing ways to get involved in the game. We just really want to utilise his speed and agility and also his ball use, he is quite a good ball user. So, another solid game from Conor.” CN

Harry Morrison

16 possessions, 4 marks, 1 tackle

“Harry played back. He reads the ball so well and puts himself in such good positions behind the footy. He gives us every opportunity to win the ball back. He competes really well in the air. He ended up with 16 disposals on the day. His ball use is usually a strength so we try to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.” CN

Ty Vickery

14 possessions, 4 marks, 3 tackles, 13 hit-outs, 3 marks

“Ty had 14 disposals and kicked 3.1. He had 14 possessions and 12 contested possessions so he competed really hard. Played in the ruck a little bit but spent more time forward. Ty’s leadership has been and was first class on the weekend. He continually presents for us up forward. He had probably more opportunities to take more contested marks, but that’s something he is continuing to work at.” CN

Marc Pittonet

7 possessions, 4 marks, 5 tackles, 41 hit-outs

“His follow up work from the ruck has been outstanding all year and he’s a real competitor, ‘Pitto’. He had a shot on goal, but he still hasn’t kicked that one goal that he has been longing for. He’s yet to kick one this year, but he doesn’t go forward much in fairness. He’ll have his work cut out for him this week, playing against Williamstown and John Meesen this weekend.” CN
