Tom Mitchell has won the 2017 Peter Crimmins Medal, finishing 54 votes clear of second place, ruckman Ben McEvoy (138).
Luke Hodge (131) was recognised for his strong season, finishing with a sixth top three finish in his final year at the club. Hodge had previously won the award in 2005 and 2010, finished second in 2006, and placed third in 2007 and 2008.
Ryan Burton capped off a breakout season, polling 117 vote to finish in fourth position, with Vice Captain Isaac Smith (111) rounding out the top five.

Votes for the 2017 Peter Crimmins Medal were awarded after each home-and-away game by the Hawthorn Football Club Match Committee, consisting of Senior Coach Alastair Clarkson, GM Football Operations Jason Burt, Head of Coaching Damian Carroll and Head of Football Strategy and Innovation David Rath. A maximum of 16 votes can be accumulated by a player each game.
